Has anyone got out yet? We could not resist the open water and warm sunshine. Some pics to enjoy!

Yayyyy!  It looks so spring-like in your pics.  What's Norm doing, carrying a gas can?!  I see you guys were enjoying soaking up the warm sunshine.  Gotta love those kind of days - makes one all energized for future plans.

Really beautiful photos! Just gorgeous.

And, your dog must be a good dog.  My big dog would have grabbed that bowl of chips & had them gone in a flash.  ha ha

Thanks Splashdancer and Mystical! There is something very cool about portaging a canoe along a trail and having to get out of the way for a snowmobile! Wish I could have got that on camera! The orange thing in Norman's hand is his pelican case for the camera. And mystical, that (wonderful) old dog can't be trusted! She has been known to eat ALL the cheese off the platter as guests were busy socializing. But as long as I am with her she acts sweetly innocent.

Oh and Robbie, I plagerized your comments to me regarding our venture being something like a B&B but for the more adventursome... hope you don't mind  Cheesy thanks !!

Nice shots Tess. I'm really jealous and wish I could do the same.

As I was driving home today there were people ice fishing on a pond near my house. I had to wonder about their sanity seeing as the ice was beginning to turn dark blue. I don't get it?

I figure after this week-end with the rain, I just might get a chance within the week to get some paddling in on the pond they were standing on today . Yes

Thanks for sharing the pictures Tess.

A paddle might be good. The Grand river near my house was looking pretty darn good yesterday. Thumbs Up  It's a nice quiet flat run for this time of year.

Now I'm praying for NO rain this weekend Whoot-Whoot

thanks all! it felt so good to get out on the water and a sense of awe as I looked across the frozen lake and at the cascades of ice hanging off the rock faces. Yes, get out there if you can, it certainly lifts the spirits!!

Last time I went down a river with a chain saw I cleared a log jam and headed down stream, half way through clearing the next jam the first jam almost caught up with me. We had to hustle to get out of the way. Based on this experience I'd recommend working your way up stream.
